At indigo healing support & services, we work and play on the unceded and unsurrendered territories of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq/Mi’kmaw, and Peskotomuhkati Peoples. These Indigenous Nations and their territories are governed by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which the three nations co-developed and signed with the British crown in the 18th century. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands, water, or resources and in fact recognized Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati title , and established rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.
